Freo also has services available for the families of active forces members and veterans who need support whilst their loved ones are at war, many miles from home, discharged from the forces, or have lost their homes.
Our Psychiatrists, Counsellors, Psychologists and lived experience buddy officers are sensitive to these needs and will provide the best possible assistance at all hours - 24/7.
Symptoms of PTSD include:
Flashbacks
Hyper vigilance
Avoidance
Paranoia
Nightmares
Anxiety, palpitations and panic attacks
Depression
Self harm
Substance misuse, including of alcohol and prescribed drugs
Aggression, irritability and/or irrational anger
Stress induced psychosis.
